Gia Mahmoud serves as the Vice President of Workplan Development & Resource Management and Head of Future of Electric at National Grid since October 2019, where responsibilities include defining strategies for transforming the electricity business and implementing critical goals related to policy, customer needs, and environmental considerations. Previous roles at National Grid include Director of Grid Modernization Solutions, where Gia led engineering teams in developing strategic roadmaps, and Director Distributed Generation Ombudsperson, focusing on customer support and dispute resolution. Additionally, past experience includes substation engineering management and senior engineering roles at Daimler AG and Remada Corp. Gia holds an Executive MBA from Cornell University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
