Hongying Li is a dedicated National Geographic Explorer since November 2024, working on the project "Echoes through Shadows: Illuminating the Path of Bat-Human Coexistence" to enhance understanding of human-nature relationships. Concurrently, Hongying serves as a One Health Consultant at the Zoological Society of London, involved in the project focusing on sustainable traditional medicine practices in Benin. Prior experience includes a senior role at EcoHealth Alliance, where multiple leadership positions were held from July 2015 to November 2024. Additionally, Hongying contributed to The World Bank as a One Health Behavioral Risk and Communication Consultant. Previous roles include writing for the All-China Environment Federation and program assistance at CARE USA and UNESCO. Hongying's educational background includes a PhD in Health, Science, Social Care, and Education from Kingston University, a Master of Public Health from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biosciences from Sun Yat-sen University.
