Kirsten Appleyard

Assistant Curator, Prints And Drawings at National Gallery of Canada

Kirsten Appleyard is an experienced art historian and curator, currently serving as Assistant Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Canada since December 2016, where additional roles included Curatorial Assistant and Provenance Researcher. Appleyard has held various positions, including Professor of Art History at Augustine College from September 2019 to July 2021 and Sobey Chief Curator Fellow in Provenance Research at the National Gallery of Canada in 2014-2015. Previous experience includes curatorial consultancy at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, involvement with the Snite Museum of Art, and a curatorial position for a Mark Foster Foundation exhibition. Appleyard holds a Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts in University Scholars from Baylor University, along with a DELF B2 Diploma in French language and culture.
