Gillian Mason

Gillian Mason is an accomplished professional in the health and disability research sectors, currently serving as the Head of Research Program at the National Disability Research Partnership since September 2024, where emphasis is placed on collaborative and inclusive research to improve policies for individuals with disabilities in Australia. Additionally, Gillian holds multiple director and committee roles, including positions with Health Consumers NSW and various committees under the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, providing strategic advice on health technology and medical services. With a background in physiotherapy and extensive experience in public participation and integration at the Hunter Medical Research Institute, Gillian also contributes to the Australasian Institute of Digital Health as a Non Executive Director and Workforce Engagement Lead for a national Digital Health Fellowship. Educational credentials include degrees in Physiotherapy from the University of Newcastle and various certifications in health and implementation methodologies.
