Kamilah Martin-Proctor serves as an Accessibility Specialist for the DC Government since January 2024, advocating for the rights of residents and visitors with disabilities in the District of Columbia. Additionally, Kamilah is a board member for the World Institute on Disability, the National Disability Institute, and the U.S. Department of Transportation, focusing on creating accessible transportation systems. Previously, Kamilah held the position of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist at the U.S. Department of State, concentrating on eliminating discrimination against people with disabilities. Kamilah's earlier experience includes coordinating the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program at Howard University from 2003 to 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Howard University and currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education Policy & Leadership at American University.
