Zaakirah Rahman is a dedicated education policy professional currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Community College Research Center and an Intern at the National Center on Education and the Economy. Additional roles include working as a Young Advocate for Young Invincibles and serving as Associate Director and Outreach Chair for the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament, where Zaakirah Rahman has successfully led outreach initiatives and recruitment efforts for diverse student competitors. Previous experience includes positions as a Group Leader at Queens Community House, a DEIA Intern at the U.S. Department of Education, and various roles at Khan's Tutorial, The New York Public Library, and the Museum of the City of New York. Zaakirah Rahman participated in the BreakThrough Tech Summer Guild at Cornell Tech, focusing on user-centered design and web development. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Policy at Teachers College, Columbia University, Zaakirah Rahman holds a Bachelor’s degree from The City College of New York and graduated from Stuyvesant High School.
