Pamela Casey

VP, Research Division at National Center for State Courts

Pamela Casey, vice president of the Research Division, has worked at NCSC since 1986, distinguishing herself as a researcher in a variety of topics, including court performance, public trust and confidence, court security and emergency management. Casey directs projects on the use of evidence-based practices in pretrial, sentencing, and community corrections and cognitive and neuroscience research related to judicial decision making. She also provides support to the Conference of Chief Justices and the Conference of State Court Administrators in their work to develop and disseminate national policy statements and recommendations for state courts. At NCSC, she has served as a principal court research associate, as associate director of research, and as director of NCSC’s Best Practices Institute. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology.
