Galina Hale is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in academic and research settings. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Hale also directs the Masters' program and teaches within the Coastal Science and Policy Program. Additional roles include Co-Director of the Center for Analytical Finance, Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research, and Co-Founder of Food System Innovations. Hale has a background that includes being a Director for the CEBRA IFM program, a Board Member at Animal Charity Evaluators, and a Research Advisor and Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
