Maxine Karam is a Support Services Specialist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, OIG since January 2021. Additionally, Maxine has been a volunteer at the National Building Museum since November 2007, serving as a docent for the "Washington: Symbol & City" exhibit, contributing to public programs, and participating on the Volunteer Advisory Board. Prior to current roles, Maxine worked as an Architect/Project Manager at the Veterans Benefits Administration from January 2019 to January 2021, and held various architectural positions at Shalom Baranes Associates, Jacobs, and Mancini Duffy Winstanley. Maxine began an architectural career as an intern at Esocoff & Associates Architects and David M. Schwarz/Architectural Services. Maxine holds a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a certification in Principles of Interior Design from Boston Architectural College.
