JP O'Mara has a strong background in business process design and transformation. They started their career in 2006 as a Project Management Officer at AIB and later worked as a Process Review Analyst within the Banking Support Services department. They also have experience in the entertainment industry as a sole trader and in computer-related solutions during their self-employed period. In 2010, they joined SSE Airtricity as a Business Improvement Specialist, where they analyzed and implemented various solutions for improvement and regulatory changes. They then worked at AIB as a Process Architect, Project & Change Manager, and Process Improvement Specialist, before joining EY in 2018 as a Business Transformation & Design Manager. At EY, they were part of the core team that established the Business Design competency and worked with clients from various sectors on transformation projects. In 2021, they joined National Broadband Ireland as the Business Process Design Manager, where they established and managed the Business Process Design team and ran the Business Process Centre of Excellence (BPCoE).
JP O'Mara has a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business Administration and Management, as well as Human Resources. JP also holds a Certificate in Business Management from Technological University Dublin. In addition to their formal education, JP has obtained various certifications, including Professional Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, TOGAF 9.2 Foundation - Enterprise Architecture Qualification, and PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner. JP has also completed training programs such as Foundations of Performance Management, Project Leadership, Managing High Performers, Advanced Business Process Modeling & Administration with ARIS, Business Process Modeling with ARIS Connect, and Train The Trainer.
