Jocelyn Weiss is an educator, researcher, and health coach with a passion for empowering individuals, organizations, and communities to make sustainable lifestyle changes to achieve optimal health and well-being. In her current role as a Senior Consultant and Health Education Specialist at Guidehouse, she supports the VA Whole Health Program through curriculum development, training delivery, and coaching of clinicians and others to promote education and adoption. In her prior role at Duke Integrative Medicine, she was the Program Manager and lead instructor for the Integrative Health Coach Professional Training. Additionally, she developed and facilitated public and customized programs in the areas of resiliency, mindfulness, and health behavior change. Dr. Weiss received her doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of Washington and master’s in Public Health from Tufts University School of Medicine. She spent 20 years conducting NIH-funded clinical and population-based research in the areas of obesity, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and adolescent health. With a desire to translate this knowledge into action for transformational change, she went on to earn certifications in fitness, nutrition, and health coaching.
