Robert D. Manfred Jr. was named to the Board of Directors in 2015. Manfred served as the Chief Operating Officer of Major League baseball from Sept. 30, 2013 until he took over as the Major League Baseball’s 10th Commissioner on Jan. 25, 2015. Manfred served as MLB’s Vice President for Labor Relations and Human Resources from 1998-2012, helping negotiate successful extensions of the Basic Agreement that have maintained labor peace in the game for more than two decades.
