Soraya M. Hakuziyaremye is currently serving as the Deputy Governor and Vice Chairperson of the National Bank of Rwanda since March 2021. Previously, Soraya held the position of Minister at the Ministry of Trade and Industry from October 2018 to March 2021. Soraya's extensive experience in finance and risk management includes roles at ING as Vice President and Senior Credit Risk Manager, as well as managing partner at SMH Financial Advisory. Soraya has also served on the board of Ngali Holdings and as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Early career experiences include positions at BNP Paribas and The Bank of New York. Soraya holds a Master of Science in Management from Solvay Business School, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and is completing the Executive Public Leaders Programme at the University of Oxford.
