Simon-Carl Dunberry is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management, risk management, and commodity trading. Currently serving as Chief Advisor in the CIO Office at the National Bank of Canada since 2020, Simon-Carl oversees the firm's OCIO offerings. Previously, as Chief Analyst at the National Bank of Canada, Simon-Carl specialized in tactical asset allocation and financial market strategy. A career marked by significant roles at CIBC World Markets as Director and Commodities Index Trader, and at Jefferies Financial Products as Vice President of Proprietary Trading, showcases expertise in commodities trading and hedging. Simon-Carl began the career at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as an analyst before teaching actuarial mathematics at Université du Québec à Montréal. Simon-Carl holds a Master’s in Financial Engineering from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor's in Actuarial Science from UQAM.
