Solène Hanquier has a diverse work experience in the field of responsible investment and sustainable development. Solène is currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Responsible Investment at National Bank Investments. Before that, they worked at Desjardins, where they held various roles including Head of ESG strategies, Senior Advisor in Responsible Investment, and Senior advisor in Sustainable Development. Prior to their position at Desjardins, they worked at Bell Canada as a Corporate Responsibility & Environment Advisor. Solène also gained experience at the Department of National Defence as a Special Project Officer.
Solène Hanquier has a diverse education history. Solène started their academic journey at Dawson College from 2003 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in science with a focus on Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General. Solène then attended HEC Montréal from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree, specializing in Accounting and Business/Management. In 2007, Solène briefly studied at Corvinus University of Budapest, pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Université de Sherbrooke, where they acquired a Master's degree in Environment.
In addition to their formal education, Solène has obtained two additional certifications. In 2022, they received the FSA Credential from SASB Standards, and in 2023, they obtained the CFA ESG certification from the CFA Institute.
