Carl Rush is a seasoned professional in the field of community health, currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor at the National Association of Community Health Workers since August 2019. With extensive experience in policy projects and technical assistance initiatives, Carl has contributed to significant programs such as the CDC-funded CHW Document Resource Center and the "Medicaid 101" webinar for community health workers across multiple states. Previously, as Principal/Owner of Community Resources, LLC, Carl authored the 2007 HRSA CHW National Workforce Study and provided technical assistance to various state health policy initiatives. Notable past roles include Director of the New Jersey Community Health Worker Institute, Chief Operating Officer at Family Health Foundation, and Coordinator of the Community Health Worker Program at Northwest Vista College. Carl holds a Master's degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University and has a background in urban planning from The George Washington University.
