Michael Janicke

Michael Janicke is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in nuclear and radiation studies, chemical engineering, and research management. Currently serving as a Senior Program Officer and Study Director at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Michael oversees critical studies related to nuclear safety and security. Prior experience includes significant roles at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where responsibilities ranged from technical advising on helium conservation to leading research projects on nuclear nonproliferation and radiochemistry.
