Burgess Manobah is a skilled health professional with a diverse background in research, medical practice, and public health. Currently serving as a Research Associate in the Health and Medicine Division at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since November 2022, Burgess is responsible for conducting research and analysis, managing databases, and ensuring compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Previously, as a Health Manager at ActionAid from March 2020 to June 2021, Burgess played a crucial role in COVID-19 training workshops and the management of staff safety during the pandemic. Burgess completed a surgical residency at JFK Memorial Hospital in Liberia, contributing to multiple research collaborations in the field of surgery and urology. Additionally, experience as an evaluation assistant with the World Health Organization involved assessing health service training outcomes. Burgess holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has extensive medical education, including a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Liberia.
