Hayda Wallen is currently the Council Administrator at the National Academy of Engineering, a position held since June 2023. Prior to this role, Wallen served as the Administrative Coordinator at The Earth Commons, Georgetown University from February 2022 to June 2023. Wallen's extensive experience includes a long tenure as a Security Cooperation Programme Specialist at the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago from October 2009 to March 2022, and as a Program Manager at the Organization of American States from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, Wallen worked as a Standards Officer at the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards between 2003 and 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Security and Defense from the Colegio Interamericano de Defensa, a Certificate in Caribbean Defense and Security from the National Defense University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) M.Sc. from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
