Bill Pruitt is an accomplished assistant editor at Narrative Magazine since September 2014, focusing on evaluating fiction and nonfiction submissions. As a fiction writer, Bill has published numerous poems over 40 years in reputable outlets including Ploughshares and Poetry Now, and has produced nine short stories in the past four years across various literary journals. In addition to writing, Bill serves as a storyteller, performing original and folktales at venues throughout Rochester and addressing historical figures through narrative. Bill's background in education includes teaching roles at BOCES Monroe2Orleans and as an ESL teacher for the state migrant education from 2007 to 2013. Bill holds a Master of Science in TESOL from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Missouri.
