Senior HR Generalist

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team in Budapest HQ and supervise the day-to-day operations of the HR team to ensure a high level of productivity. You will be involved in HR administration, payroll, improvement projects, and other operational tasks as needed. You will also assist with ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, evaluate our current HR policies and procedures, and suggest improvements to the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for onboarding and offboarding
  • Performing various administrative tasks and accurately processing paperwork (employment contracts, contractor agreements, termination letters, mutual agreements)
  • Keeping the HR Master and the personnel plan tracking system up to date
  • Supporting colleagues in HR related questions and inquiries
  • Managing payroll preparations (HU, UK, US) and employee relations
  • Follow-up of changes in local legislation and, if necessary, initiate a review of local payroll processes
  • Providing resolutions to complaints and inquiries
  • Advisor to staff members regarding internal HR policies and relevant external regulations
  • Enforcing management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and processes
  • Participating in HR process improvement projects, internal and external audits, preparation of related documentation
  • Supporting immigration administration

Our ideal Senior HR Generalist will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Business or HR
  • 3-5 years of related experience in HR Operations
  • Experience in payroll preparation for the Hungarian market, it is an advantage if the candidate has experience in UK and US payroll preparation
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
  • Strong moral and ethical code
  • Exceptional administrative skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good project- and self-management skills
  • Proven understanding HR related responsibilities and processes, knowledge of employment law is an advantage
