Sue Frisch, elected to the board in May 2019, has been a resident of Nanuet for almost 40 years. She has a BS in K-12 education and a MS in Early Childhood Education. She, and her husband Paul, have three grown children and five grandchildren. Two of their grandchildren are now students in the District. Sue continues to be passionate about education after retiring as a teacher from George Miller after 25 years. She feels strongly about volunteering and giving back to the community she served for so many years. Over the years, she was the Miller PTA vice president and Chairperson of the Highview Park Children’s Committee (1990 and 2011). Sue considers herself an active community member. Some of her projects include getting guardrails around Highview Park, working with a small group of community members to get universal busing as well as seat belts on buses and, most recently, working on traffic issues near Highview School. Her goal is to get more adults and children involved in the educational process. Sue strongly believes that her most important attribute is being a good listener and creative problem solver. She hopes to continue lifting the spirit of our amazing Nanuet School District.
