Giri Joshi

Principal Scientist, Principal Investigator at Nanohmics

Giri Joshi has over 18 years of work experience in the field of materials engineering and research. Giri began their career in 2002 as a Lecturer at Tribhuvan Bishwavidalaya and Central Institute of Technology, Purbanchal University. In 2006, they became a Research Assistant at Boston College, where they developed efficient thermoelectric materials and handled advanced instruments such as TEM, SEM, XRD, ZEM-3, Laser Flash systems, DSC, Hall measurement system. In 2010, they joined GMZ Energy Inc. as a Senior Material Scientist, where they co-invented the best formulation of nanotech nanostructured thermoelectric materials. In 2012, they were promoted to Manager, Materials R&D, where they managed thermoelectric nano materials production and scale up research and development to support thermoelectric module fabrication for power generation from Boilers and Vehicles. In 2015, they joined Evident Thermoelectrics as Manager, R&D, where they produced efficient half-Heusler materials and modules for power generation applications using nanostructuring. In 2016, they joined SHEETAK INC. as Materials Engineer/Director, Materials R&D. Finally, in 2017, they joined Nanohmics as Senior Scientist, Principal Investigator.

Giri Joshi obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics/Thermoelectrics from Boston College between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned their Master's degree in Physics from Nepal jobs between 2000 and 2003.
