Dr.-Ing. Jürgen G. Heinrich was a professor for engineering ceramics at the Institute for Non-metallic Materials at the Technical University of Clausthal. He began his academic career at the Johann Friedrich Böttger Institute in Selb, where he graduated in 1972 with a degree in engineering. In 1976 he completed his studies in materials science with a degree in engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, where he also earned his doctorate in 1979. After that, with a short break, he worked at the German Aerospace Center until 1985. V. in Cologne and from 1985 to 1995 headed the development department of the product area engineering ceramics at Hoechst CeramTec AG. Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen G. Heinrich in 1995. From 2001 to 2003 he was Dean of the Department of Physics, Metallurgy and Materials Science. From 1993 to 2014 Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen G. Heinrich Member of the Research Advisory Board of the German Ceramic Society and from 2003 to 2007 also its chairman. From 2007 to 2009 he was President of the European Ceramic Society. From 2008 to 2011 he was Executive Director of the International Ceramic Federation (ICF). He has been a member of the Academy of Ceramics since 1999 and a Fellow of the American Ceramic Society since 2008. Since 2013 he has been Senior Visiting Professor for the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen G. Heinrich regularly worked as an expert for public institutions and research institutes and is the author of over 100 publications. From 2010 to 2019 he was editor of the Journal of Ceramic Science and Technology. Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen G. Heinrich has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Nabaltec AG since 2006 and is currently not a member of any other supervisory board or comparable supervisory body of any other commercial enterprise.
