Shanshan Xu has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as CFO and Co-Founder of MysteryVibe in 2014. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder of Mucho by The Cook-In Company Limited in 2013, where they acted as a personal stylist to users' tastebuds. From 2008 to 2006, Shanshan Xu worked as an Academic Initiative (China) Program Specialist at IBM, where they developed project management, coordinating, multi-tasking and communication skills. Before that, they were an HR and Admin. Assistant at Emerson Professional Tools (Shanghai) Company Limited, where they applied classroom theories to the real workplace and observed how HR work reflects on day to day business operations.

Shanshan Xu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Sociology with Human Resource Management from the University of Bath in 2008. Shanshan then went on to receive an Msc in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Reading in 2012. In 2014, they completed a CIMA from BPP University in Accounting. In 2017, they obtained the ACMA, CGMA certification from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
