Milos R. Popovic has a long and varied work experience. Milos R. began their career in 1996 as a Systems Engineer at Honeywell. In 1997, they moved to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) as a Senior Researcher. In 2001, they joined the University of Toronto as a Professor, and also began working at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute as Associate Scientific Director & Toronto Rehab Chair in Spinal Cord Injury Research. In 2008, they co-founded and became Director and Chief Technology Officer of MyndTec. Milos R. held this role until 2016, when they became Co-founder, Director and Chief Executive Officer of MyndTec. In 2018, they were appointed Institute Director of The KITE Research Institute at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
Milos R. Popovic has a long education history, beginning in 1972 at Elementary School "Vuk Karadzic" in Belgrade, where they attended until 1977. Milos R. then attended Elementary School "Kralj Aleksandar I" in Belgrade from 1977 to 1980. After that, they attended First Economy School in Belgrade from 1980 to 1982, where they did not receive a degree. From 1982 to 1984, they attended 9th Belgrade Gymnasium (Serbian: Deveta Beogradska Gimnazija) "Mihailo Petrovic Alas" in Belgrade and received their High School Degree. Milos R. then attended University of Belgrade from 1985 to 1990, where they received their Dipl. in Electrical Engineering. Finally, they attended University of Toronto from 1992 to 1996, where they received their PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
