Asad Dandia is a dedicated community program coordinator at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, New York (CAIR-NY) since November 2021, contributing to the enhancement of understanding of Islam and the protection of civil rights for American Muslims. Concurrently, Asad serves as a museum educator at the Museum of the City of New York and a features writer for the Asian American Writers' Workshop, where participation as an Open City Muslim Communities Fellow was highlighted in 2022. Additionally, Asad is on the teaching faculty at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, a committee member of the NYC Civic Engagement Commission, and a middle school teacher at the Islamic Learning Center of New York City. Experience also includes hosting a podcast for the New Books Network and serving as program manager at Cordoba House. Asad's educational background includes master's degrees in Urban Studies from CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies and Islamic Studies from Columbia University, along with a bachelor's degree in Social Work from New York University.
