Katherine Barnes

Girls In STEM Program Assistant at Museum of Discovery

Katherine Barnes is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in math instruction across various educational settings. Currently serving as a High School Math Teacher at Bryant Public Schools, Katherine teaches on-level and co-taught Algebra 2 and Quantitative Literacy courses while managing multiple student IEPs, 504 Plans, and ELL Plans. In addition, Katherine holds the position of Girls in STEM Program Assistant at the Museum of Discovery, facilitating empowerment activities for young girls. Previous roles include Middle School Math Teacher at LISA Academy, where Katherine taught 7th and 8th-grade math and supported teachers as a High School Math Interventionist. Katherine’s background also includes experience as a Community Liaison at Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Math Instructor at Mathnasium, and Scholar Advisor for Envision Experience, among others. Katherine holds multiple academic credentials, including a Graduate Microcertificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder and a Master of Public Service.
