Maya Davis serves as the Community Engagement and Education Programs Manager at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, focusing on developing programs that foster community connections between artists and audiences. As a co-founder of the Community As Medicine series at People in Education, Maya provides professional development for early-career educators in Detroit, facilitating partnerships between classroom teachers and grassroots educational organizations. Previous roles include a Teaching Fellow at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, an intern at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and an intern at The Studio Museum in Harlem. Maya has also contributed as a Resident Teaching Artist at ProjectArt and managed the U245 Student Gallery at the College for Creative Studies, where Maya earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Teacher Education.
