Joan Anton Maragall Garriga has extensive experience in leadership roles within the arts sector, including a position as a member of the General Council at the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) since December 2015. Joan has served as president of Sala Pares since January 1986 and held similar positions at Art Barcelona from April 2013 to May 2017, Galeria Trama from April 1991 to June 2012, Cercle del Liceu from February 2002 to April 2005, and the Union de Asociaciones de Galerías de Arte de España from February 1993 to December 1995. Additionally, Joan was the managing director of the Associació de la Premsa - Col·legi de Periodistes from December 1983 to December 1989. Educational qualifications include a Licenciat and Master from ESADE Business School and a Bachillerato from Colegio Alemán - Deutsche Schule Barcelona, along with a Master in Business Administration from ESADE.
