Leena Marsio is a seasoned professional in the field of cultural heritage and arts management, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Museovirasto - Finnish Heritage Agency since June 2014. In this role, Leena coordinates the UNESCO Convention on the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and acts as the national coordinator for the European Heritage Label. Prior to this, Leena held positions such as Coordinator of Intangible Cultural Heritage at Museovirasto, Project Researcher at CUPORE, and Editor at Vantaa Music Institute, among others. Leena's educational background includes a Master's degree in Arts Management from Sibelius-Akatemia and a Bachelor's degree in Arts research, literature, and communications from the University of Helsinki.
