Rachel Snow Kindseth

Rachel Kindseth, counsel, represents clients in the area of litigation, including commercial, employment, and insurance coverage on behalf of policyholders, and appellate practice.

Rachel has represented policyholders in coverage claims involving commercial liability, products liability, property damage and business interruption. She has both jury and bench trial experience. In addition to her trial court experience, Rachel has drafted appellate briefs for cases before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Appellate Court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Most recently, she helped a policyholder-client prevail against dozens of insurers in an interlocutory appeal before the Connecticut Supreme Court involving allocation for defense costs and indemnity for asbestos-related personal injury claims. R.T. Vanderbilt Co. v. Hartford Accident & Indem. Co., 333 Conn. 343 (Oct. 8, 2019), affirming 171 Conn App. 61 (2017). Rachel has worked on several injunction actions involving non-competition agreements, inevitable disclosure and/or trade secrets, representing either former employers or former employees, including Elm City Cheese Co. v. Federico, 251 Conn. 59 (1999). She also handles petitions for receivership and other collection matters for a regional public utility company.

Rachel is a member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery Practice Group, the Appellate Practice Group and the Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group.

Rachel graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law where she was an editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. Rachel is a past-President of the Junior League of Greater New Haven and continues to volunteer with the Junior League and other community organizations.

Rachel and her family love vacationing in Maine where she has family roots and many relatives.
