John Douglas Elliott is an Associate Attorney at Murphy & Grantland, PA since July 2020, following a role as Law Clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Russo at the South Carolina Judicial Department from August 2019 to June 2020. Prior to their legal career, John Douglas Elliott gained experience in sports writing, covering Clemson and high school athletics at The Journal and writing for 247 Sports. Additional experience includes roles in athletic communications with the Clemson Athletic Department, internships with the U.S. House of Representatives and Richard Cash for Senate, and serving as a Summer Camp Counselor. John Douglas Elliott holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Communication and Political Science from Clemson University.
