Krista Dahlinger serves as the President of the Kansas Native Plant Society since September 2018, having previously held the position of President Elect and volunteered as Treasurer from 2007 to 2018. As a Features Writer for Kansas Wildlife and Parks Magazine, Krista focuses on Kansas native plants and their ecological roles. Additionally, Krista is an Executive Board Member for Wichita Desk and Derrick, where responsibilities include website management and event coordination. In their professional career, Krista has worked as a Production Analyst at Murfin Drilling Company, Inc. since April 2015, and previously held roles such as Geologist at Hummon Corp. and Project Manager at MWH Global. Krista began their career as a Manager at Lee Phillips Oil Company. Krista holds a BS in Geology from Wichita State University, with coursework in Mathematics and Studio Arts.
