Dr. Shannon Johnston is the Head of Professional Learning at Murdoch University since June 2019, where responsibilities include leading the implementation of the Continuing Professional Learning Framework, managing strategic projects in learning and teaching, and engaging in professional learning initiatives. Prior experience includes roles as a Professional Learning Lecturer at Murdoch University, Sessional Lecturer and Learning Engagement Developer at Curtin University, HR Coordinator at Animal Happiness Vet, and Project Manager at Moodle Pty Ltd. Dr. Johnston has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at The University of Western Australia and Sessional Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology, among others. An accomplished scholar, Dr. Johnston holds a PhD in Technology in Language Education, a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, and an Honours degree in Southeast Asian Studies, alongside several educational qualifications. Contributions to various committees and forums reflect a commitment to advancing teaching and learning within the higher education sector.
