Shauna Sherker has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Shauna'smost recent position is as Research and Data Lead at Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI), starting in November 2022. Before that, they worked as a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle from August 2017 to June 2022. Prior to that, they served as the National Research Manager at Alcohol and Drug Foundation from 2014 to October 2017. Shauna also held the role of Australian Representative at the International Society for Child and Adolescent Injury Prevention (ISCAIP) from 2009 until February 2017. Shauna Sherker was appointed as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer and later as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales from May 2004 to December 2015 and from December 2009 to December 2009, respectively. Shauna served as the National Research Manager at Surf Life Saving Australia from March 2010 to June 2014. Finally, they started their career as a Research Fellow at Monash University from September 1997 to April 2004.
Shauna Sherker completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science - Research Specialization from Concordia University in 1987. Shauna then pursued a Master of Science degree in Sciences d'activité physique from Universite de Montreal from 1988 to 1993. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Public Health - Injury Epidemiology from Monash University between 1997 and 2004.
