Ian Search is a planner at the Municipality of Lakeshore, with experience since June 2019, following a co-op position as a planning assistant from May to December 2018. Ian has researched planning policies, analyzed development applications, updated the Municipal Heritage Register, and coordinated with the Information Technology department to enhance mapping systems. Prior to this, Ian worked as a Water Conservation Program Assistant at the City of Guelph, where responsibilities included drafting public applications and conducting research. Ian's earlier roles as a research assistant at the University of Waterloo involved producing reports on energy infrastructure engagement and flood assessment programs. Ian holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Planning from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2019.
