Matt Tom is the Founder and President of MTCC LLC, providing consulting in engineering design and implementation since 2015. With extensive expertise in usability, Six Sigma, lean methodologies, and regulatory practices, Matt mentors numerous startups in the food tech alternative protein sector, offering insights on technical knowledge, scale-up strategies, and market entry. Current roles include mentorship positions at UC Davis Venture Catalyst, The Culinary Institute of America, Carbon13, ProVeg Incubator, The Good Food Institute, and Big Idea Ventures. Additionally, Matt serves as an advisor for Asia BioBusiness and recently advised Oasis Nutrition. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Industrial and Systems Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
