From 2012 to 2023, Byron held several significant roles at Hort Innovation, including General Manager - Industry Service and Delivery, where leadership focused on enhancing investment advice mechanisms for various industries, and Head of Research and Development, managing a $500 million R&D program involving extensive project initiatives. Prior experience includes managerial positions at The Plant Management Company, where operational leadership was implemented across multiple sites, and Katalina Park Beef Stud - Bunyip Essential Oils, overseeing a diverse range of agricultural operations. Byron’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Melbourne and completion of the Produce Executive Program at Melbourne Business School.
