Darren Bowie serves as the Global Chief Privacy Officer and Managing Director at MUFG since May 2019, where responsibility includes developing and executing the global data privacy and protection strategy for the fifth largest financial group in the world. Previously, Bowie held the position of Chief Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel at American International Group, Inc., leading a global team in data privacy compliance from February 2011 to May 2019. Bowie's career in legal roles includes experience as Legal Director for North America at Nokia, Assistant General Counsel at AOL, and multiple positions at the Federal Trade Commission, including Assistant Director for the Division of Financial Practices and Legal Advisor to the Chairman. Bowie holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a BA with high honors in Government from William & Mary.
