Hannes Laukkanen has a diverse work experience. Hannes started their career as a Software Developer at Mtech Digital Solutions in March 2017, where they are currently employed. Prior to that, they worked as a Tuntiopettaja (Teaching Assistant) at the University of Jyväskylä from September 2016 to December 2016. Before that, Hannes worked as an Asiakasneuvoja (Customer Advisor) at Kela from May 2015 to September 2015. In 2013, they gained experience as an Opettaja/pienryhmäohjaaja (Teacher/Small Group Supervisor) through an internship at the University of Jyväskylä, where they worked on education and adult education courses. Hannes also worked as a Vahtimestari (Caretaker) in the summer of 2009 at Joensuun kaupunki, where they performed various tasks at the main library, including maintenance, material transportation, and preparation of meeting rooms and equipment.

Hannes Laukkanen's education history begins with their completion of the Ylioppilastutkinto at Mikkelin Lyseon lukio from 2003 to 2006. Following this, from 2009 to 2014, they attended the University of Jyväskylä and obtained a degree in Kasvatustiede, specifically a Kasvatustieteen maisteri. Finally, from 2015 to 2025, Hannes pursued a Master's degree in Koulutusteknologia at the University of Jyväskylä.
