John Sheaffer is an experienced pastor with a diverse background in church leadership and community engagement. Currently serving as Pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church since December 2021, prior roles include Director of Advancement at Answers in Genesis, where efforts focused on equipping individuals and churches to defend and proclaim God’s Word. John has held various pastoral positions, including Associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, KY, and Senior Pastor at Grace Community Church, where responsibilities ranged from teaching to church establishment. In addition to pastoral duties, John has a strong background in finance as a Mortgage Loan Officer at Fifth Third Bank, where innovative financing solutions were provided. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wheaton College and a diploma in Pastoral Studies/Counseling from Moody Bible Institute.
