Sara Hanneman is an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) currently serving on the Ski Patrol at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe since November 2019. With a diverse background in emergency medical services, Sara has worked in various capacities, including as a case investigator for the CDC Foundation and community health aid for Washoe County. Previous roles include EMT positions during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, responding to emergencies at special events with REMSA, and providing lifesaving interventions at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. Sara's foundational experience includes outdoor instruction at Colorado State University, where leadership and risk management skills were developed while guiding students on various outdoor activities. Sara holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Health from Colorado State University.
