Katie Heitkemper is an experienced outdoor and leadership professional with a diverse background in ski patrol, outdoor education, and marketing. Currently serving as Ski Patrol at Mt. Hood Meadows Resort since 2021, Katie also works as a Trip Leader for Backroads, where responsibilities include leading multi-sport tours and coordinating logistics for guests. Previous roles include Ski Instructor at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Lead Backpacking Instructor at Avid4 Adventure, and Thru Hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail. Katie has also contributed to organizations such as Girls on the Run International as Head Coach and held internships in marketing at Nike and Sparkloft Media. An alumni of the University of Portland, Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Business with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, along with a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician certification.
