Zwelethu Bashman serves as the Chairperson of the Pharmaceutical Task Group since February 2023, advocating for growth and investment in the South African pharmaceutical industry while enhancing access to medicines. Previously, Zwelethu held the position of Deputy Chairperson at the same organization and currently serves as President of the Innovative Pharmaceutical Association of South Africa. As Vice Chair of the U.S - South African Business Council and Managing Director at MSD South Africa, Zwelethu leverages extensive experience in leadership roles, including Head of Marketing at Merck Group and Regional Head of Key Accounts at Cipla. With a robust educational background that includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice from Henley Business School and studies at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Zwelethu has consistently contributed to the pharmaceutical sector's strategic and operational excellence.
