Rita Gaspar is a Medical Oncology Specialist at MSD Portugal since September 2021, previously holding a trainee position in Medical Affairs Oncology. Rita conducted a master thesis project at the University of Groningen focused on the development of new biocompatible shear-thickening inks for 3D bioprinting, while also serving as a Project Assistant in the marketing team during the Honour’s Master Programme at the same university. Prior experiences include a research internship at UMCG, investigating cardiopulmonary toxicity after radiotherapy, an internship at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular studying fibrinogen-erythrocyte interactions, and a summer internship at the Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas. Rita holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical and Biophysics Engineering from the University of Groningen and Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, respectively.
