Alind Chandra, Ph.D., is a Senior Process Development Engineer at MP Materials since July 2020, specializing in the development of processes for rare earth element extraction. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky from August 2015 to June 2020, focusing on liquid-liquid extraction of rare earth elements from coal-based leachate. Alind Chandra also served as a Plant Process Engineer at Hindustan Zinc Limited from June 2013 to July 2015. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Kentucky (2015-2019), a Bachelor of Technology in Mineral Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad (2009-2013), and a background in Physical Sciences from Colvin Taluqdars' College in Lucknow.
