Christy Correll has a wealth of work experience. Christy began their career in 2000 as an ESL Tutor for Cleveland County Schools, where they pioneered a three-week summer camp for ESL students and developed ESL curriculum for the entire school district. In 2001, they joined The Gaffney Ledger as a Staff Writer, researching, writing, and editing articles for the award-winning community newspaper. In 2004, they became Membership Manager for the Girl Scouts of the Pioneer Council, successfully recruiting and managing more than 120 volunteers in three territories. In 2008, they were hired as an Internet Marketing Coordinator for onTargetjobs, Inc., where they had a range of responsibilities such as keyword research, on-page SEO, online editing, link building, and development of Internet marketing strategies. In 2009, Christy started two jobs, becoming Owner of Honey Tree Media LLC and an Online Marketing Specialist for Lightning Labels. At Honey Tree Media, they helped SMBs, solo entrepreneurs, web designers, and busy in-house marketers keep up with today’s rapidly changing digital landscape. At Lightning Labels, they created the company's highest revenue driving program to date and successfully reorganized and managed their AdWords account with an approximate annual budget of $500,000. Finally, in 2012, Christy began working at Moz as a Social Media Content Editor, Social Media Specialist, and Community Specialist, managing Moz's Q&A forum and providing backup support for special events such as MozCon. Christy eventually became an Associate, where they assisted the Community Team with managing the Q&A forum and provided support for special events.
Christy Correll has a B.A. in English/Journalism from Baylor University, which they obtained from 1996 to 2000. Christy has since obtained four additional certifications, including Inbound Methodology from HubSpot Academy in October 2013, Advanced Search Engine Optimization from PubCon South in April 2010, Advanced Google AdWords from Certified Knowledge in August 2009, and Search Engine Marketing from Search Engine Strategies in May 2008.
