Merel Jansen is an experienced ecological advisor currently working at Movares since January 2022, focusing on writing reports for quick scans, further investigations, and exemption requests, while also conducting fieldwork. Previous roles include serving as an ecological advisor at NWC from July to December 2021, where responsibilities involved writing offers, reports, and maintaining client communication. Merel completed a graduation project at Provincie Noord-Brabant in 2020, researching the impact of restoration measures on the Brabantse Wal for the Great Reed Warbler. Early research projects included studying sleeping habits of cormorants and geese at Sovon Vogelonderzoek Nederland and conducting research on pest management at Lincoln University in New Zealand. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from HAS Green Academy, along with a minor in Biobased Economy in the Agrifood Sector.
