Ahmadreza (Reza) Rofougaran has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Ahmadreza (Reza) began their career in 1988 as a Senior Engineer at TriQuint Semiconductor (now Qorvo, Inc.), where they developed a GaAs 2 GHz mixed analog and digital standard cell family for ASIC design. In 1992, they moved to BetheTronix Inc. as Engineering Director, where they designed and developed CMOS RF ICs used for GSM, CT2, IS-95 CDMA, pager and DBS. That same year, they also began working at Physical Research Inc. as Principal Investigator, where they designed a GPS Receiver Module on a Single Silicon Chip and Miniature, Ultra-Low Phase Noise Oscillators for High Performance Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs). In 1998, Rofougaran founded Innovent Systems, where they were responsible for Business, Technical Direction & Product Strategy. In 2000, Innovent was acquired by Broadcom Inc., and Rofougaran became SVP Engineering, where they were involved in Broadcom’s wireless strategy planning, future roadmaps and Merger & Acquisition for entering into new wireless markets. In 2016, Rofougaran founded Movandi, where they currently serve as Founder & Chief Technology Officer and Board Member.
Ahmadreza (Reza) Rofougaran received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1986. Ahmadreza (Reza) then went on to receive their Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university in 1988. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998.
